Speaking in Abuja on the fuel supply situation across the country, Executive Director, Commercial, Pipelines and Product Marketing Company, PPMC, Mr. Justin Ezeala, stated that the country currently has 656.376 million litres of PMS in its various storage platform, while it is expecting additional 756.99 million litres of the product before the end of November.

A day after administering oaths of office on his ministers, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday warned all permanent secretaries against sabotage. President Buhari was speaking at the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja shortly after swearing in 16 of the 18 newly appointed permanent secretaries. He noted that ministers and other government officials involved in policy formulation and implementation often complained of the intolerable levels of incompetence, indifference or even suspected sabotage by some of the top echelon of the civil service.

All 109 senators and their aides are to undergo training in how to use Facebook and other social media. The training is to help them communicate effectively on issues of public policy and good governance.

A murder suspect, Saka Ahmed, who allegedly killed his schoolmate, 19-year-old Saheed Jimoh, in front of their school gate in the Ijora area of Lagos State, has said he committed the act after a prank went awry. These are, indeed, trying times for 34-year-old mother of four who was arrested for allegedly pushing her stepson from the third floor of their apartment at No. 40, Oluwole Estate, Ogba, Lagos.  Her ordeal started Thursday, last week, after her 14-year-old stepson, Rahman, was found reeling in pains at the basement of their three-storey building. While the woman and her husband were shocked at the wound he sustained, relations of her husband rather thought otherwise. They suspected foul play and wasted little time in inviting the police from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIIB, Panti, Yaba, to arrest their brother’s wife accusing her of masterminding the ugly incident.
