President Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday afternoon assigned portfolios to confirmed Ministers that were inaugurated at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa. 

The President, who announced himself as the substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources, said it was proper to have round pegs in round holes.



Living up to his pledge that there will be no business as usual, and what appeared like a deviation from the tradition of past governments, President Buhari assigned portfolios to almost all the ministers based on their areas of specialization.
The President equally announced that the nation’s ministries have now been trimmed from 29 to 24.

3. Rotimi Amaechi – Transportation
4. Babatunde Fashola – Power, Works and Housing

7. Ogbonaya Onu- Science and Technology
8. Kemi Adeosun – Finance
9. Abubakar Malami – Justice
10. Sen Hadi Sirika – State Minister, Aviation
11. Barr. Adebayo Shittu – Communications
12. Suleiman Adam – Water Resources
13. Solomon Dalong – Youth and Sports
14. Ibe Kachikwu – Petroleum Resources
15. Osagie Ehanire – State Minister, Health
16. Audu Ogbeh – Agriculture and Rural Development
