In a report by the Daily Beast released Wednesday (Sept. 13), the former Apprentice star has been deemed the most “despised” person in the White House. Sources in and out of the White House claim Omarosa is isolated after many instances where she interfered with internal meetings and spread gossip throughout the West Wing. “She doesn’t have any friends in high places—except the one place [where] it matters,” a Republican official said in regards to her longtime friendship with Trump.

  A pregnant Maryland high school teacher who has been missing for more than a week has been found dead in a shallow grave, and her boyfriend is charged with her murder, Montgomery County police announced Wednesday night. Police Chief Thomas Manger said investigators found Laura Wallen's body in a shallow grave in Damascus, Maryland, about 38 miles west of Washington.

A walk along Texas City beach took an unexpected turn for Preeti Desai when she stumbled over a creature that normally swims well below the surface washed ashore during Hurricane Harvey. Desai posted a picture of the fanged sea creature on Twitter in the hope that someone could identify it: “Okay, biology twitter, what the heck is this?? Found on a beach in Texas City, TX,” she wrote on September 6.

Nigerian youths deserve a ministry that will tackle their affairs in the country, Forum for Youths Advancement in Nigeria has said. "With the recent development across the world where the youth are taking leadership roles, Nigerian youths deserve a ministry that will be solely responsible for their affairs," a statement by the forum's national president Segun Folorunsho and secretary general Garba Dan'Asabe, said Wednesday. They said as Nigeria moved towards passing the "Not too young to lead" law, "there is absolutely the need to make the affairs of the youth a priority and brought into the front burner."

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known as Mr Eazi spoke about some difficulties he faced before the spotlight finally found him. Mr Eazi Speaking as a guest on The Beat FM’s Morning Rush, Mr Eazi also cleared the air on a statement he made about Nigerian musicians that has earned him heavy backlash. The Police in Lagos on Wednesday brought two Pastors, Dorothy Ekutosi, 51, and Asekameh Victor, 27, who allegedly stole a 2-year-old girl in a market before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates ’ Court. The accused, whose addresses were not provided, are standing trial a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has denounced claim by ‎ the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he looted public treasury during his reign. The ex-president, however, asked the APC-led government to account for N14 trillion ‎ which he claimed it budgeted in the last two years.

Hundreds of workers of the defunct Nigerian Airways have taken over the Murtala Muhammed Airport road, protesting over non payment of their pensions. The defunct National Carrier was liquidated by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2005 while the workers have been in the trenches fighting for the payment of their final entitlements.

The Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna has disallowed the application filed by former governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shehu Shema to stop his ongoing trial by the Katsina State Government on grounds that he was not availed documents pertaining to the petition against him. The court however recognized the right of an accused to be availed documents pertaining to charges standing against them but said Shema’s application could not stand as it was filed prematurely and before a plea was taken.

Shehu Sanni  Shehu Sani, a senator from Kaduna central, says the Nigeria political elite see President Muhammadu Buhari as a “meal”, and that they want him to seek re-election for their own survival.  Aisha Alhassan, minister of women affairs, stirred a storm when she declared she would support Atiku Abubakar if he runs for office in 2019.  In an interview with the BBC Hausa, the minister said she would support her godfather, Abubakar, even if Buhari seeks re-election. She also claimed that the president told members of his party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) – that he would only spend a single term in office to “clean up the mess of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)”.

The basement of Changi Airport Terminal 2 was temporarily closed today after a shredder machine in a lorry there caught fire. The fire was put out by airport emergency services, and the basement has since been reopened. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident shortly after 4pm. It sent a fire engine and a red rhino, but added that the fire had been extinguished prior to SCDF's arrival.

Halimah Yacob has been declared Singapore’s eighth president on Wednesday after a “walkover” election that saw no vote after no other contenders ran for the position. Yacob, 63, had been the only candidate deemed eligible to stand in the country’s Elections Department, having held a key public position as speaker of parliament for three years. The other two contenders, Salleh Marican and Farid Khan, were both denied eligibility, having fallen short of a constitutional rule that required any candidate from the private sector to have led a company with shareholder equity of at least 500 million Singapore dollars (372 million dollars).

Pope Francis sustained minor injuries on Sunday when he lost his balance and bumped his head against a vehicle barrier while riding in the popemobile during his visit to Cartagena, Colombia. The popemobile, is a customized vehicle designed with bulletproof glass designed to protect the pope while he greets crowds.

A former presidential candidate, Chief Martin Onovo, has faulted the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) for coming up with a verdict that Nigeria is out of recession. Onovo, who contested the 2015 presidential elections on the platform of the National Conscience Party, said that Nigeria was in a season of stagnation, rather than being in a recession. The outspoken opposition chief told newsmen in Lagos on Monday that Nigeria’s situation in 2016 was complicated by high unemployment and high inflation.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has said that he is confident that his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, will emerge the standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the eventual winner of the 2018 governorship election because the project is a divine one. Governor Fayose said this yesterday in Ado-Ekiti during a thanksgiving service held by Olusola-Eleka to mark his endorsement by various PDP stakeholders for the election.

Nigerian pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia was reportedly arrested after he was spotted on a CCTV camera picking unidentified item on ground at the sacred place (Harami). The pilgrim whose name was not mentioned was said to have been taken to yet to be identified place by the security operatives.

The Police in Asaba, Delta State has arrested the cash management officer, the chief security officer and two drivers of UBA as accessory to an armed robbery attack on the bank's bullion van and security escort conveying N25 million. The UBA-CMO, one Amina Oyewole a female and the others were arrested by Delta State Police Command following an armed robbery attack which occurred Tuesday, September 5, 2017 between Otulu and Ubulu-Okiti, along Asaba/Benin expressway, Delta State.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state says his first son, Mr Ahamefula Okorocha is alive, strong and healthy, contrary to social media reports on Sunday that he died in London. The Social Media on Sunday went wild with reports that the governor’s son, Ahamefula Brendan Rocha, had died at The Royal London Hospital located at White chapel Road.

Three Muslim faithful have been confirmed dead after a car crashed into a prayer ground during Eid-El Kabir prayers in Ogun state. The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed this to newsmen. Some eyewitnesses said the driver lost control of the vehicle and plunged it unto the worshippers. He said some angry worshippers descended on the driver but he was rescued by the police. He said many of the worshipers sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Two decades ago, a 12-year-old Prince Harry and 15-year-old Prince William stood in front of Kensington Palace’s gold gate, where an unprecedented memorial, with bouquets and cards and tributes stretching as far as the eye could see, had sprung up for their late mother, Princess Diana. At the time, it was confusing: “You didn't even know her, why and how are you so upset?” Prince William remembers wondering. And yesterday, to mark the 20th anniversary of her death, Prince Harry and Prince William returned to that same touching scene. The memorial was smaller, the decision impromptu—the princes were there to visit Diana’s White Garden, but once they saw the tribute, they went to pay their respects and greet well-wishers despite the pouring rain. Many fans handed the princes bouquets to lay down themselves.
