UTME mop-up exam costs JAMB over N100m – Oloyede

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has said the conduct of its 2022 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination cost over N100m.

Speaking on Saturday while monitoring the conduct of the examination in some centres in Lagos, Oloyede explained that rewriting of the exam became a necessity for candidates who could not participate in the examination during the main exercise in May for various reasons and largely due to examination malpractice.

He added that over 42,000 candidates were participating in the examination in five states.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out? I’m interested in joining the police.’ And here I was thinking everyone hated @PoliceNG Shout out to all our supporters'.
