Why we increased registration fee from N13,950 to N18,500 —WAEC

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) says the increase in its registration fee from N13,950 to N18,000 was due to the rising inflation in the country.

The Council, however, pledged to continue to improve on its service delivery, assuring that the just concluded 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released within 45 days after the conduct of the last paper as is the practice of the Council.

The examination body made the disclosures when the Chairman of Council, Professor Ato Essuman, led his team on a courtesy visit to the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu on Thursday in Abuja.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out? I’m interested in joining the police.’ And here I was thinking everyone hated @PoliceNG Shout out to all our supporters'.
