Teenager Remanded Over Alleged Defilement Of 7-Year-Old Girl

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday ordered that an 18-year-old teenager, Tobi Ogunrinde, who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s seven-year-old daughter, be remanded in a correctional centre. According to Daily Independent, Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka, who did not take the plea of Ogunrinde, ordered that he should be remanded in the Nigerian Correctional Service in Kirikiri, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out?
