Driver In Court For Allegedly Assaulting, Biting FRSC Official

A 40-year-old driver, Felix Ibe, on Tuesday appeared in a Wuse Zone Six Chief Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly assaulting and biting a Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC) official. The police charged Ibe, who resides at opposite St. Matthew Catholic Church, Karmo, Abuja, with two counts of assault and causing grievous hurt. The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Peter Ejike, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 5, on the Herbert Macaulay Way, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out? I’m interested in joining the police.’ And here I was thinking everyone hated @PoliceNG Shout out to all our supporters'.
