Deji Adeleke denies plan to Contest Osun governorship Election in 2018

Osun business mogul and philanthropist Deji Adeleke, brother to serving senator Ademola Adeleke and father to singer Davido has debunked rumours he is to stand elections for governorship on an APC platform next year in Osun.

A press statement issued on Monday on behalf of Adeleke and signed by Dele Adeleke described the insinuation as false, unfounded and ludicrous.

"Adeleke is not interested in seeking any political office nor involved in any talks/plot to make him the governorship candidate of APC or any other political party,” the statement said.

“Adeleke is not a politician and has chosen to continue to render his contributions and service to humanity in his private capacity and through his foundation."
"We hereby appeal to the good people of Osun state and  all Nigerians to disregard the mischievous publication in its entirety."

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out?
