Nigerians elected Buhari willingly, should accept his style of doing things – Adesina
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, has said Nigerians elected Muhammadu Buhari as president willing and should, therefore, accept the way he “prefers to do things”.
Adesina, who was responding to questions during a phone conversation on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, was asked why the President did not consider a video recording to address Nigerians formally.
Replying Adesina said, “It is a matter of personal style, there is no style that you can call ‘the’ style. The style of our President is what you have seen on display and by now two years after he came, I am sure that we should understand him.
“We should know the kind of person he is, we should know how he prefers to do things and that is how the President is.
“That just tells you that that is the way our President is, we elected him willingly and we have seen that this is the way he is.”
President Buhari had not been seen in public since leaving Nigeria on May 7th, 2017 for treatment in the United Kingdom. But, on Sunday a delegation of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress met with Buhari in London.
The leader of the APC governors, Rochas Okorocha, had also said in a BBC report that the President would be back in the country in two weeks.
