Budget Padding: Jibrin, Hembe trade words …As Jibrin congratulates Dogara on his birthday.

Former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmunin Jibrin, and Herman Hembe, yesterday, traded words over roles they allegedly played in the 2016 budget padding saga.

Hembe had in a statement issued, yesterday, reminded Jibrin that law enforcement officers would soon get hold of him.

He stated: “I wish to remind Jibrin that there is no hiding place for him.  He fled to UK after getting hint that anti-graft agencies in Nigeria were investigating him in order to avoid arrest and prosecution.

Jibrin in a quick reaction, claimed he returned to Nigeria to testify against Hembe and others. Jibrin in his statement, declared:  “Ordinarily, I will not respond to Hembe but for the need not to allow such shameless people to mislead the public.

In another development, Jibrin, a perceived enemy of the speaker, Dograra, congratulated the speaker on his 49th birthday.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out?
