Nigerian female footballer Perpetua Nkwocha marries at 40

Born on January 3, 1976, Perpetua Ijeoma Nkwocha, Nigerian female footballer and four-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year exchanged marital vows with her fiancée, Ernest Ikechukwu Nwufor, in Owerri, Imo State on Easter Monday March 28, 2016. 

The marriage ceremony, which kicked off with a church wedding before moving to the bride’s family house for the traditional wedding, had relatives, friends and fans of the soccer star in attendance.







Nkwocha, who previously played for Swedish club Sunnana Sk, is currently the coach of Clemensnas IF from Swedish Women’s Football Division 2. She’s also a member and captain of Nigeria women’s national team.
