Ex-FUTA VC killers to die by hanging

An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure yesterday sentenced to death by hanging two persons- Ita Enang and Olayemi Bamitale- for killing the former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Prof. Albert Ilemobade.


Enang and Bamitale were domestic workers (gateman and driver), killed Ilemobade on June 21, last year, and dumped his remains in an empty stall in his compound at Ijapo,Akure.




They stole his Toyota Rav 4 and other items.

The don’s remains were later discovered by family members, a week later.

The criminals were arrested in Ogun State by policemen, while attempting to dispose off the stolen items.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police.
