We share in your grief, Ambode tells El-rufai as he loses his father

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode Lagos State, Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai to commiserate with him over the passage of his foster father, Malam Yahaya Hamza.
Hamza, who was a renowned educationist and former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education, passed on after a brief illness in the late hours of Tuesday.



The Governor who had in his entourage the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello, visited El-Rufai at the family residence in Kaduna, urged him to take solace in the fact that his father lived a fulfilled life‎ especially in the Kaduna State Civil Service, where he served as the Secretary to the State Government, as well as Chairman of the Council of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) from 1997 to 2000.
“I condole with you and the people of Kaduna state in this trying time. Take solace in the fact that Malam Hamza lived a fulfilled life and you’re a product of that fulfillment”, he told Malam El-Rufai.
Governor Ambode also comforted the widow of the deceased, just as he prayed that God grants her the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also condoled with the family of the late Hamza saying that his visit was to convey his heartfelt condolence on behalf of the good people of Lagos.
“We can only pray that God will grant his soul peaceful repose,” the Governor said.
