Costume crazy: MISS UNIVERSE CONTESTANTS JAW-DROPPING 'NATIONAL DRESS'

Miss Universe beauties from around the globe have donned incredible - and sometimes bizarre - national costumes to catch the judges' eyes.
Contestants sought to stand out from the crowd with a series of eye-popping costumes in the preliminary stages of the 63rd annual competition, which takes place at Florida International University in Miami.
Our own Miss Nigeria, Queen Celestine, showcase one of the beautiful culture 'National dress' from the eastern part of Nigeria.

Miss Great Britain Grace Levy, 25, donned a super-sexy version of the Queen's Guard uniform to wow the crowd.

Other spectacular outfits included Miss Canada, Chanel Beckenlehner, who came dressed as a glamorous ice hockey player - complete with working scoreboard and ice hockey stick.

Incorporated into her elaborate wig was a replica of the Stanley Cup, a trophy in the Canadian league.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out? I’m interested in joining the police.’ And here I was thinking everyone hated @PoliceNG Shout out to all our supporters'.
