FATAL ACCIDENT ON KARA-BRIDGE, LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

Their was report this morning that a fatal motor accident  occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway -between Berger and Kara Bridge. 

The accident was reportedly caused by a collision between a moving truck and a faulty truck, which was parked on the expressway. Other vehicles - about five or seven - involved in the accident were badly damaged.

One of the vehicles involved was a “mini-truck carrying labour hands to a building site”, an eyewitness told Channels TV.

One female survivor, who was pulled out from under a truck, was rushed to a hospital near 7up, and then to the Gbagada General hospital for further treatment.


There is heavy traffic on the road at the moment

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has said it is surprising how many Nigerians are willing and ready to join the Police. Hundeyin also revealed that many people have called and sent messages, asking when the Nigeria Police form would be out. The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle. He said he had thought everyone hated the Nigeria Police. He wrote, “Shey una dey whine me ni? “Everyday, I receive calls and messages asking, ‘When will the Nigeria Police form be out? I’m interested in joining the police.’ And here I was thinking everyone hated @PoliceNG Shout out to all our supporters'.
