AMERICAN COLONEL SAVES IRAQI BABY WITH SPINA BIFIDA FROM DEATH
Amid all the pain and gloom of war, an act of
kindness stands out like a bright beacon of humanity and hope.
That’s why the story of Baby Noor and U.S. Colonel Kevin Brown is worth reading and taking to heart. The two first met when Col. Brown was leading an operation in the town of Abu Ghraib.
The Iraqi baby girl had spina bifida, which was sure to kill her if she couldn’t get medical treatment – which was impossible for her family.
Col. Brown became a man with a mission. He couldn’t just leave that sweet infant girl to die. He pulled all the strings he could and argued passionately that America should help. Soon, thanks to him, Baby Noor, her father, and her grandmother flew to Atlanta, Georgia on a C-130 transport plane for life-saving surgery.

The Colonel wasn’t content to just leave the story there,
though. Years later, he organized the purchase of a big care package to help
her, with the help of Childspring International. There was an advanced
pediatric wheelchair, plus teddy bears, laxatives, catheters, toothpaste,
pencils, crayons, and books for Noor al-Zahra Haider.
What’s more, Col. Brown himself delivered the package. Noor’s family was happy to receive them. They made Noor’s life much easier.
Let’s be thankful that there are heroes like Col. Brown in this world – they make it a better place to be!
