PDP Osun hits back, describes Oluga’s statement on Adeleke as unfortunate, uninformed
The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the statement against Ademola Adeleke, a former governorship candidate of the party, by Taiwo Oluga, the lawmaker representing Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency of the state in the House of Representatives, that Ademola Adeleke should go and head Adeleke University, Ede, Osun state owned by his brother Deji Adeleke first before he thinks of being Osun state governor".
That the statement is unfortunate, amusing and smacks of indecent vituperation.
In a reaction made available to newsmen on Tuesday by the Osun PDP Media Office and signed by Oladele Bamiji, the Osun PDP Media Director stated that it understood that the statement from Oluga who said that he statement was made in her desperate mood to warm herself into the hearts of her party to get patronage due to her inability to succeed at her duty post.
“Senator Adeleke does not need to superintend over Adeleke university where other Nigerians are gainfully employed to prove his passion and love for his people. His track record and that of his siblings in the annals of Osun State and Nigeria at large speak volumes of his nature and capacity to take the state out of the woods,” the statement read.
