FG approves N50bn loan for Katsina

Katsina Commissioner for Budget, Faruk Jobe, on Saturday says that the Federal Government has approved N50bn loan for the state to enable it finance some major projects. He stated this during the 2021 citizens budget sensitisation workshop held at the old Government House, Katsina. The commissioner said that the loan,which was part of the 2021 budget, will be used to complete ongoing projects and embark on new ones. He mentioned some of the projects that the loan would be utilised on to include construction of under- bypass at Kofar Kaoran and at Kofar Kwaya junction. Jobe added, “The ongoing projects that the loan will be utilised on include Green Economic Zone, Ajiwa waterworks, road projects, and rehabilitation of general hospitals, among others.
