Bobrisky: NHRC blasts Presidency’s withdrawal from Abuja conference, says it is bigotry

The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has called out President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmed and the Alder Consulting’s Executive Committee for pulling out of a seminar because they would be sharing the same podium with Nigerian intersexual cross-dressing, bleaching advocate, Bobrisky.

The NHRC said it was bigotry to act in such manner.

This was made known on its official Twitter handle – RightsAfrica @NHRC.
“It takes a lot of courage to be @TheRealBobrisky in a narrow society like #Nigeria & that deserves respect.
“Leave @TheRealBobrisky alone; please what is so wrong with cross-dressing or gender-bending?” the NHRC tweeted.

Recall that the President’s PA and a member of Alder Consulting’s Executive Committee, Subomi Plumptre, has withdrawn from the conference following Bobrisky’s inclusion as guest speaker, saying his presence would sensationalize and radicalize the event, which should otherwise be a serious discourse on new approaches to media engagement.
