Woman commits suicide in Enugu after testing positive to HIV

A 46-year-old woman identified as Celestina Mamah from Udenu local Government Area of Enugu state has committed suicide.

The deceased stabbed herself to death in a forest after allegedly testing positive to Human Immune Virus (HIV).




The victim according to the police spokesman in Enugu State, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, “had left her home on 28/5/16 at about 6pm and headed to a forest near Ogwu rest house in Udenu local Government Area of Enugu state where she allegedly stabbed herself to death.”‎
He said her dead body was found at about 11am on Sunday.
