Twin sisters used their identical looks to bamboozle staff as they shoplifted £1,000 of goods from Tesco and M&S stores

Penelope and Constance Harris, 25, deliberately confused workers at branches of Tesco, M&S and the Co-op in Cornwall so they could walk out without paying.

Truro Magistrates' Court heard that both women would enter the shops at the same time, and one would fill up a trolley with inexpensive goods while the other picked up valuable meat and alcohol. One sister would then pay for the smaller trolley of goods - meaning that when the other left with the more expensive items, staff thought she had already paid.
