Meet the youngest Traditional ruler in Ondo who is not allowed to have a boyfriend or get married
Some may wonder why a Traditional Ruler (Woman) is not allowed to marry or have a spouse, when their male counterpart can marry at the appropriate age, but it is simply because their culture forbids it, and there are only a few villages in Nigeria where women are allowed to reign.
One of the communities is Iboropa-Akoko, which is located in Ondo State's Akoko North-East area.
Princess Tinuade Ayomikun Babalola, THE OLUBOROPA OF IBOROPA AKOKO, ONDO STATE, ascended to the throne at the age of 17 when her father died, and she was a Public Administration student at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA) before ascending to the throne.
She has been on the throne for about 5 years and has been compelled to undergo various customary procedures, including being advised that she could not have a lover or marriage before being proclaimed regent of the kingdom.
