Gunmen Abducted Ikeja Local Government Clerk in Imota, Lagos
Gunmen on in the early hours of
today kidnapped the Ikeja Local Government Clerk, Shamsideen Omotayo. spokesman for the local council
secretariat, Bello Onilegbale told newsmen that the clerk was whisked away at
Imota, near Ikorodu, while on his way to work.
According to him, Mr Omotayo’s
kidnappers have contacted the council’s Head of Administration, Mosunmola
Otaiku-Okoka.
He said they demanded N20 million ransom.
Meanwhile security officials say efforts
to rescue him were ongoing.
