Man Beats Wife To Death Over Food In Osun
There was pandemonium in Oke-Odo area of Woru
Estate in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State when an undisclosed
middle aged man allegedly beat his wife to death.
An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of
anonymity, said the man pounced on the wife and beat the hell out of her until
she dropped dead for failing to give him food on time when he returned home
from work.
According to the eyewitness, the deceased cried out
for help while the husband was beating her which attracted the attention of
neighbours and residents of the area.
She reportedly died from the severe beating before
people could come to her rescue.
However, when it dawned on the man that his wife
has died, he attempted to flee the area, but was stopped by concerned
residents, who arrested and dragged him to the police station.
Mrs. Folasade Odoro, police spokesman for state
confirmed the incident, saying that investigation is on-going even as the man
has been detained in police cell.
