TEENAGER GIVES BIRTH IN STORE TOILET

A teenager came out of her local supermarket with a brand new BABY after going into labour in the store's toilets.
Rebecca Groves, 19, had just walked into an Asda near her home in Walton, Liverpool, with her friend when her waters broke.

Amazingly a self-service checkout assistant was forced to turn midwife to help deliver the tot after stumbling across the young women in the baby changing rooms.

Asda worker Philly McCabe was doing a routine check when she discovered Rebecca in some distress at around 1.30am on November 1.
The pregnant teen called for an ambulance and Philly soon found herself checking the progress of the delivery for the 999 operator after the phone was given to her.

According to the Liverpool Echo, baby Joel was delivered before ambulance workers could arrive at around 2am, with Philly providing support to Rebecca throughout the birth.
Today the pair were reunited back at the store, with Philly getting the chance to meet little Joel for the first time since his unexpected birth.

Though the mum described the experience as “a blur,” Rebecca said of Philly: “Without her I don’t know what would have happened really.
"She was great.”
Both Rebecca and Philly said that they had bonded over the event.

Rebecca, who normally shops at the Walton Asda, said they would be going to Smithdown Road more in future.
